2 inch roots, so it was time to dye my hair again!

Brokedown Vanity - Garnier - Dye

My phone somehow midget sized this photo, and I don’t even know how.

It was that time. I had dyed my hair just before easter weekend(which you can read in my post “Cutting almost 2 feet of hair off, and dying it Red” HERE), and no surprise to me, my roots have grown out 2 inches. There was shock at my cutting 2 feet of hair, but seriously, my hair grows so quick, I had no issues with it. My hair has always grown like that.

I had dyed it such a bright red, for fun, but it does look super silly when my blonde hair grows back in.

I looked for a dye that I knew would either turn my hair orange, rusty or pink. It is sometimes hard to figure out which way it will go. Also, when you are doing store bought dye on top of dye, with light roots, you really never can be too sure what will happen. You have to be prepared for the consequences.

I picked this Garnier Nutrisse Cream Dye, in Honey Blonde, as it seemed the most likely not to turn me pink.

I was mildly worried here, cause it did sort of look like it might be going pink.

I have to say, with the last pack of dye being a mousse, I liked it a lot more, it was easier to apply. It was the first time using a system like that, and I found it easier to coat everything evenly. This time around it took me much longer to make sure I got all areas of my hair, and I just gave myself an undercut too, so I have less hair. Try to figure that out, I am still sort of stumped.

The end result was a more coppery/rusty colour, which I am fine with. My blonde roots aren’t so crazy with this lightening. It will also fade nicely even more, with all my swimming.

I legit only have like an inch and 1/4 of chin. Why I got no chin? haha

    1. I Do Like it. Because I use to donate it so much(my hair) it had to be undyed. I usually used the non permanent kits, but they are harder to find nowadays, in a full range. Easier to find find the unnatural colours, but they only last 1-3 days, I remember 10 day kits. Times change.

I just thought, I had been a good girl with my hair so long, about time to have a bit of fun.

It is always interesting to find out what colour it will go, when you put a permanent dye on top of a permanent dye.

After having a swim, it is totally more pinkish and blond now, haha.

  1. […] I liked the application of the one above more, and I felt weird about the fact that I had less hair at the time of using this one, but almost felt like I needed another bottle to get my hair fully covered. I do like the colour this one gave me, applied on top of the faded previous dyejob. If you want to hear me blabber more about this, feel free to read my 2 Inches of Roots, so it was time to Dye my hair Again! post. […]
