For our Post today, it will be a review on Still Spa Essentials Makeup Brushes.
I was in Walmart, and saw these on the wall while looking for a new foot scrubby. I knew the almost all my makeup brush collection had been eaten(by some sort of critters, moths, I don’t know), while stored in my vanity, hidden in a corner of a room, for 13 years. I still have my MAC brushes, but that really was all I had left that was really decent. I went on a purge, threw out a bunch of stuff, and knew I needed to replace some of the items fairly soon.
The Still Spa Essentials collection has a vast array of brushes, as well as other beauty items you might need. The collection ranged from $2.97 – $14.97CAD at my local Walmart, and a few of the brushes were even on sale. I picked up these 4, to try out, and see if I liked them.
They are made of synthetic black bristles, with a silvery/white tip, which I find makes it really easy for cleaning them. I’ve never owned dual coloured brushes before, and I like it, you can really make sure the product is out of the brush.
The handles aren’t fully rounded, with one side flat, which makes using them really nice. They just fit in your hand well, and it makes it easier to control.
I found them not as fluffy as my MAC brushes, which in some cases was nice. The eyeshadow blending brush had long enough bristles, that even though it wasn’t super fluffy, it still blended out well.
The Eyebrow brush is of middle thickness, so it isn’t super thin. I haven’t been using it on my brows, but as a eyeliner brush, and putting on my tear duct highlight. It has been working well for that.
Another thing I am enjoying with these is that they are numbered and categorized, so if you wanted to gift them to someone just starting out with makeup, they would have a general idea of what to use where.
I have been using these for about 3 weeks now, and have experienced no shedding from washing or using them. They also pick up product really well.
I will be going back and getting some other types from this line, I was super surprised at how they preformed.
They are a Walmart exclusive item, I think made for Walmart, or are a Walmart brand of beauty care. Anyways, point is, you need to get them at Walmart, haha.
