I don’t shop at Walmart all that much, so this is a haul that was over multiple visits. I figured I had enough to share now, so I’d get it posted up. I also want to use a few of these products soon, so that prompted me to post it as well.
A while ago I purchased a Chrome Eyeshadow from Annabelle at Shoppers Drugmart. I really enjoyed it, and it really does look like metal. When I saw this creamy/gold tone at Walmart on clearance, I decided I’d get it. The Annabelle Creamy Eyeshdow Single in Chrome Gold is normally $4.76CAD, but I got it on Clearance for $2.00CAD. The package wasn’t open, and the batch date is fine, so I am not totally sure why it was on clearance, but I am not complaining.
I’ve seen these Colour Tattoo eyeshadow pots for a while now, and decided to try it out when I saw it on clearance. This one the package was opened, but there was no swatches taken, so it was in perfect condition. Looks like someone just wanted to open it for a better look, then decided not to get it(or picked up a still sealed one . . . I’ve seen people do this, totally weird). Anyways, this Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Metal in 55 Inked in Pink is normally $6.96CAD, but I got it for $3.00CAD on Clearance.
During back to school Walmart had some school bus rack features in the middle of the isles with all sorts of things from pencils, binders, movies, qtips, kleenex, so on. Near the makeup isles they had some Hard Candy products. I picked up this Hard Candy Just Glow Rose Gold Highlighter for $2.49CAD, you can still get the full-sized ones for $7.98CAD.
I picked up these two lipsticks on separate occasions, but also on clearance.
The Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Serpentine was normally $7.96CAD, but I got it for $2.50CAD. It had been opened, but was not swatched. The reason for the clearance was whoever opened it didn’t put it back in the tub nicely, and the tip got nicked off. I really don’t mind the deep discount for such a unique shade. I can deal with a missing tip.
The next one is the L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in 462 Preliminaire , which I got for $4.00CAD on clearance. It is regularly $8.96CAD. Now, I was there when the Cosmetics Lady was pricing this down, and she said they were making way for some new colours, and so they had to make room for the new ones. There was over 16 shades that got cut to make room, so there was a bunch to choose from. I picked this deep brownish plum colour, as it reminded me of a shade I use to wear when I first became a manager way back when. I use to wear the shade for all my meetings, so it was sort of nostalgic. It isn’t a direct match, but it is close enough, and will look great this fall season.
I’ve been trying to find the e.l.f. Makeup Eraser for a while now, with no luck. Since I was on a tray Hard Candy Spree, I thought I’d grab this Hard Candy Oopsy Proof Makeup Eraser Pen, which was only $5.98CAD. I will be using this for lipart mostly, I figure. That was what I wanted it for initially anyway.
When I found the Annabelle Chrome Eyeshadow, they had some of the Eyeliners on clearance as well. I grabbed this Annabelle Chrome Kohl Eyeliner in Silver Rush for $1.50CAD, normally $3.98CAD.
Lastly, while doing the back to school shopping they had this Hard Candy primer near the highlighters, so I thought I’d get it just to try. I am not convinced primer is a thing that I really need for my whole face, but I have been enjoying the results for my pores. Since this one is supposed to help with that too, it doesn’t hurt to give it a go. I am not sold enough to try highend yet, not for that type of product anyway. I picked this Hard Candy Sheer Envy Perfecting Primer for $1.35CAD. It is just a small little travel type tube.
I used a bunch of giftcards that had a few dollars left on them, from last xmas. I always end up with a number of those, from the kids gifts, and sometimes my own. I think out of all this, I really only spent like $10ish. Not too bad for a few new things to play with.
The Walmart that is closest to me has changed a lot with their makeup department. It is a lot better than it was, when it first got built 14 years ago. It is nice to see it actually get some of the newer releases in now.
Well, that is it for today.
