I thought for this morning’s post I would share this bag of goodies I got at Value Village. I love checking out their area for crafting stuff, for my Daughter and I. They aren’t as great at categorizing things as Goodwill is, but sometimes that can be fun, as you will get more of a variety per bag.
There was a few floral/corsage embellishments in the bag. I might just have to make some sort of hatpin or hairband for the girlchild.
Some stretchy string and ribbons.
A bunch of sequins. I actually don’t have that many sequins, as I don’t really sew anymore. I was happy to get this as I saw some interesting mixed media broach work done with beads and sequins I wanted to try out. This will be good practice material.
A bunch of fake pearls and other odd beads. With xmas coming up, these will come in handy some way I am sure.
Here are even more! Most of them are plastic pearl beads, but some are actually glass. We might use them on some decorative wall hangings or woven into scarves maybe.
For $4 is was a good bag. There are a lot of things my daughter and I can do with these, so I was happy to find the bag. It reminded me of my trips to White Rose(A Canadian Craft store that went out of business in the late 90’s), and seeing the walls of beads. I miss White Rose, Micheal’s doesn’t even compare to how fab that place was.
