The Buxom Lash Mascara is the first mascara I chose at random(I just closed my eyes and picked it out of a bag).
If you want to read more about the series, or are interested in purchasing for yourself a Sephora Favorites LashStash to Go Kit, you can read more about it on my other post; Mascara Time!!! – Sephora Favorites LashStash to Go – Summer 2017 Edition.
I had to do a double take when I read the name of this mascara, it has to have the most normal name out of all the mascaras I have ever tried. Even my Maybelline mascara that I have been using for years, has a title of sorts.
Does that take away from this product at all? No, of course not.
The price of this isn’t too bad for a non Durgstore item. My Trial size was 6ml/0.20 fl oz, so I did get a great amount of product to try out.
If you want to check it out yourself, HERE is the link to the listing on Sephora.
The formula is thin, wet and buildable. It doesn’t clump, and creates a natural looking lash with just one coat. When I actually tried to see if I could get it to clump, it took 3 layers before I had any sort of issues. The formula reminds me of my beloved Covergirl LashBast Legnth Waterproof that has been discontinued.
It doesn’t really help curl the lashes at all, but it doesn’t claim to anyways. This is a wonderful lower lash mascara.
The wand is HUGE, and wasn’t something I was use to. It didn’t impede the use of the product though, I was able to work with it and apply my mascara just fine.
While the formula is called the blackest black, it seems to have a blue undertone, which I don’t mind at all. It reminds me of the Lancome Defincils High Definition Mascara in Black, how it goes on, consistency and blue undertone.
I couldn’t feel it on my lashes, which isn’t normal, I normally feel something, slight drag you could say. I liked this very much.
I normally wear waterproof mascara, as my eyes water a lot, due to my being photosensitive. Moisture will make my lashes stick together, rubbing will give you spider legs.
The most surprising thing is that this leave my lashes feeling super soft, after I take off the mascara, which is a first. I was playing with my lashes, just feeling them, for a few good hours after taking this off. It was not the product I used to clean off my makeup, as it is one I have been using for years. So the actual mascara had to have done it.
I’m not sure which ingredient it was, but I really love the odd side effect. I have short, stubbly, coarse and sparse lashes, and it was nice just feeling them super soft and fluffy for once. After my 7 days of use, it was still the same, even with using other makeup removers.
Would I purchase this?
Yes, I think I actually would. I wish there was a waterproof version, so I honestly can’t see myself using it all the time, or as an upper lash mascara, but it really is the perfect lower lash mascara. I’d even just use it on no makeup days, so I’d get soft, fluffy lashes. It was so foreign for me to have that, and I really liked that off little side effect. The price point isn’t bad either.
Will this one be the Winner? For me it is too early to tell. What do you all think?
