Swatchmania – L’Oreal – Infinite Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Limited Edition 824-C Autumn Landscape

Swatchmania is a new feature that will be popping up on the blog here and there on Mondays, from now on.

I love looking at swatch posts and youtube videos. Not totally sure why, but it probably has to do with my obsession with wanting all the colours of everything possible. I will actually go out of the way of not buying things, if I know it is impossible for me to collect all the colours I want. This applies to all sorts of things, like paints, clay, markers, yarn, beads, underwear, tights, containers, nail polish, so on.

I also really like colours in general, so swatches make me happy.

I have been wanting to bring a swatch feature to the blog for a bit now, so I finally just decided I was going to do it, and it’ll pop up as I am inspired to do them.

I’ll be swatching whatever I decide, so sometimes it might be a lipstick line, most times it’ll be palettes. I will swatch new and old, whatever strikes me for that day.

Brokedown Vanity - Swatchmania - L'Oreal 824-C

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite Quads. I often throw this in my purse during fall, along with another Quad or Trio.

This is the L’Oreal Infinite Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Limited Edition 824-C Autumn Landscape. You can find many other versions of the Infinite Wear Eyeshadows online, but I couldn’t find any of this version still out there. The Landscape Quad and the Autumn Leaves Quad have 2 similar colours in each, so I am thinking the basically just smushed those two together into this Limited Edition one.

I bought this in 2009 I think, I know it was when I was still working at an away from home job. Still has the red price tag on it, so I know I got it at Shoppers Drug Mart for $5.99CAD.

It doesn’t look very dented, but I have used it every fall since then, and use it often. A little bit goes a long way, and there is great colour payoff.

This is not a Quad that works on by itself, but the colours are really beautiful and work super well with my eyes, skin and hair. I’ve never found a small palette that suited me as much as this one.

Top – Olive Green – Soft/Buildable Shimmer with Gold Micro Glitter

2nd from Top – Burnt Brown – Soft/Buildable Shimmer with Gold Micro Glitter

2nd from Bottom – Golden Orange – Slightly Sheer, Soft/Buildable Shimmer with Gold Micro Glitter

Bottom – Reddish Orange – Slightly Patchy, Slightly Sheer, Soft/Buildable Shimmer with Gold Micro Glitter

All names are just what I feel best describes the colour. This quad did not have any colour names on it anywhere, ever. There use to just be numbers on the pans, which have since come off with use.

This was one of the best Eyeshadow products I ever purchased, and I wish I had of thought to buy a few more of the line when they had still been out.

Hmmm, what should I swatch next???
