I thought this little plaque fit, because I keep my eyebrows rather Wild!
For our Post today, it will be a review on the Essence Superlast 24h Waterproof Eyebrow Pomade Pencil.
I was using the same eyebrow pencil for years. My sister had originally bought it for me, and it worked, so I never thought to try anything else, I just always got the same one, and stocked up when they were on sale. I still really enjoy it, but I did decide to try something else. The world of eyebrows has drastically changed from when I started using makeup. People use to make fun of my for my big eyebrows(as the trend in the late 90’s was to have pencil thin ones), that is if they got close enough to even notice my invisible blonde hairs. As I started to have children, my eyebrows actually started to get a bit darker, so I had to maintain them a bit more, but I still just let them do their own thing for the most part. They fit right in now, so I mostly just use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the more see though hairs I still have in certain places.

I find this a bit easier to use that a traditional pencil. It does go on rather creamy, so I do find it really easy to apply. I love the little brush, more so than a traditional spoolie. It is really small, and really helps blend in the “bald” spots where my invisible hairs are.
I have 2 colours, the 10 Blonde and the 30 Dark Brown. I normally just use the blonde one, but when I had my hair dyed the dark red, I used the brown to help make my brows match a bit better. As my hair transitioned, I mixed the 2 colours together, and that worked out really well.
I haven’t had any issues with the product becoming dry or performing weirdly.
The product really is waterproof too, I can go swimming and shower, and my eyebrows are still there. I have to admit I was rather surprised at this, I thought there might be some fading. There have been a few times I have stayed the night with friends/family, washed my makeup off, but left my brows, and had great brows the next morning. It was unintentional, I normally wouldn’t do that, but you tend to forget things when you are slightly inebriated, haha.
Yes, I already have, and think I would do so again. I might try something else to play with, so maybe not right away(if only for the blog), but I could see myself at least keeping one at all times in my travel bag.
This is a great summer/beach item, it really doesn’t wear off, so you can have your fun in the sun, and not worry about your brows.
The only thing I could see as being a drawback is that it doesn’t come in black, so far as I know, and I know there are a lot of ladies that need something more than a dark brown.
