I placed an order after finally deciding I was going to get the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette. I wasn’t sure at first, but after some advice from a fellow blogger, I decided I did want it. I just wasn’t sure how I was going to go about it. Originally I thought maybe I could use my PC points at Shoppers, I just had to find one near me that would be stocking it. On the Urban Decay website, they actually have a location finder, which made it super easy. Sadly, while I do have a Shoppers near me that sells Urban Decay, they were not going to be carrying the new line. They basically only carry the top sellers of the brand.
So I went about it a different way, but still managed to use my points. When I went grocery shopping at the Real Canadian Superstore, I had noticed they had a whole line of giftcards, and Sephora is one of the ones they carry. They only had up until $50 as the highest increment, but that was fine, as I still had another giftcard with some money on it.
So I just used my $50 worth of PC points to get myself a $50 Sephora Giftcard.
At the time of purchase they had a lot of different codes going at checkout. I got my 3 samples, plus a Beauty Insider Makeup Sample Set, which included a whole bunch of things.
I love the packaging of this palette. They did a really great job with the concept and colour story. It all seems to tie in.
The back is just as beautiful as the front.
The Palette! It has a nice weight and feels very sturdy.
I love the mix of eyeshadow types as well as the colours. I would much rather have one really sleek palette with more colours, but in tiny squares, that one of a similar size, with only 9 colours, but more pan size. I am a hoarder of colour, in all things.
Even the back of the box is wonderful, and the inside has a whole city map printed on it!
I’ve been wanting to try the Sephora line of Lipstories Lipstick. This one called to me the most, so it is the first I have picked out to try.
These are the 3 samples I chose at checkout. Nothing Special, I always just pick what I feel is the most worth it out of the list really.
The Beauty Insider Makeup Sample Set! I loved how this came all packed up in a cute baggy. Probably just to help them with the packaging process, but I like it none the less.
Most of this stuff I will probably use for lipart. There never really is enough to do much of anything with. At least I can spot test for allergic reactions easier.
I love all the things I have gotten from Bite Beauty so far, ans while I do own one of the mulitsticks, having a chance to try more is nice.
Here are the colours included. I also got this Tarte sample in the pack, so that will be fun to try out too! Will be good to take to Dominican Republic in the fall.
I am super impressed with Sephora, and their shipping. This one was targeted to arrive at my house 2 days after I actually got it. I think I ordered on a saturday, and received my box tuesday at about 2pm.
