For our Bonus Post today, it will be a review on Nature Valley Sweet&Salty Toasted Coconut Bars.
These aren’t something I really eat all that often. Maybe like 2 times a month for me. They are nice to take to the park with the kids, or on a bit of a longer road trip, just to have a quick, not messy snack while driving. I normally don’t purchase these sorts of things for myself, I will just steal one of my husband’s or one from the kid’s stash.
I saw these and knew that no one else would try them, so I got a box just for me to enjoy. I’ve been seeing a lot of newer items in the stores lately, with coconut added to them, so it must be a bit of a trend right now.

My Thoughts
This is a super tasty bar. I really like the combo of the almond butter and the crunch of the coconut flakes.
I normally split it up into 5 pieces and just enjoy each bite. I wouldn’t say they are the most healthy thing ever, but since I only eat them 2 times a month or so, I don’t really feel bad about it.
I know what almost all the ingredients are, so that is saying something for processed foods.
A hot vehicle can be sort of hard on these, as the butter coating on the bottom will get melty. I’d treat these like chocolate bars when traveling, and keep them in your cooler.
Repurchase?
Maybe. They taste really good, but since this type of product is something I only pick up for myself every other month or so, I’d rather get something different the next time. Not that there was an issue or anything, it is more of my infrequent purchasing getting in the way. If other people in my family liked them too, I would definitely get these again, but I am the only one who really enjoys coconut.
‘Til the next post
