My daughter was doing her nails last night, and she was using one of my favorite polishes I have bought this year so far. I bought it for her, but I find myself stealing it a lot, so I figured I’d just do a writeup about it and the Brand, as we both really like it, and I would totally recommend it.
Sinful Colors is a new to me Brand. I had probably walked by the display more than enough times, but I had blinders on for so many years, and this blog really just opened up my eyes when shopping around now.
I first saw it only in the Real Canadian Superstore, but I have now just recently seen some small displays in a few of the Walmart locations near me too.
The packaging reminds me of my China Glaze bottles, and I am forever getting them mixed up in my Nail Polish caddy.
I am impressed with the formula of these nail polishes. They glide on easily, coat well, have are semi self leveling. They work well with just one coat, no weird streaks. Perfect for little girls who want pretty nails now, and don’t want the waiting process.
The opaque formulas go on really smoothly, with no brush streaks. I suck at painting nails, even though I really like nail polish, and paint nails often. I am just not blessed with those skills, haha. I really like that I don’t have to play around with these forever, trying to get them to look okay.
There are different glitter formulas, each has a really great distribution of glitter. You don’t have weird blade spots, even with one coat.
These polishes end up outstanding on the 2nd coat. The Dry time for the first coat is fairly quick, so by the time you do your ten nails, the first one is almost ready to coat again.
The opaque purple colour there . . . I got a cat hair stuck in it, and that is why the bottom is messed up, no fault of the polish, totally my bad.
The glitters are insane with a second coat. All the bling.
Left – 1106 Cinderella – Pink & Gold Shimmer in Sky Blue
This is one of the most unusual nail polish colours I have ever seen. It looked like a boring blue colour that my daughter wanted, so I got it. I didn’t realize it had micro glitter in it, that makes it look really spectacular on your nails. I could not capture it with my camera, but this is the one I would recommend you getting the most. It is my current favorite.
Middle – 858 You Just Wait – Magical Swirl of Pink and Gold
This one is sold with the top coats normally. It isn’t a protective coat, but it sure does amp up anything you put it on top of. I like it on its own too. The tooth fairy got this one for my daughter, Thanks Tooth Fairy!
Right – 1701 Lie-Lac – Opaque Pastel in Lilac
Just a standard solid colour. They have many in the range. I am glad we had one to try out, so I could at least see how it performs. I might have to grab some of these for water marbling.
Left – 922 Frenzy – A frenzy of hot red and purple glitters!
I am really happy with how this one distributes on your nails. It also is packed with glitter, so you don’t have to fish to get it out onto your brush.
Right – 923 Queen of Beauty – Exclusively Silver Glitter
My Daughter recommends this one, she says it is super bling, and you don’t have to use too much to make it beautiful. She likes it on top of other colours, as an accent nail, and just on its own.
Left – 2304 Taste It – Limited Edition Pride 2017 – Purple, Rainbow iridescent glitter in a clear jelly base
Right – 2300 Bon Bons – Limited Edition Pride 2017 – Red, Rainbow iridescent glitter in a pink jelly base
These were the two I picked out for myself, and while I do love them, I honestly think out of all these here, I managed to pick some of the more boring ones. They are all really lovely though, so far we haven’t had one dud polish.
I have found that with a good topcoat, these normally last me 6 days as a mani and about 9 days as a pedi(sometimes longer, but I am super clumsy and stub my toes a lot). They last my daughter about 3 days, without topcoat, cause she got no time for dat!
I would highly recommend this brand. I am always so surprised at the price of these, I find them anywhere between $0.94-$2.99CAD. I normally get mine at the Real Canadian Superstore, because they have bundle deals, buy 3 for $5. I did get one for free using my points too, so there is that, if you collect PC Points.
