Shopping Haul – Birthday Shop at The Body Shop

As per my No Buy, this is a prepurchased Haul from April. My Mother-in-law gave me $50 to spend however I wanted, but it she stipulated that it had to be on things that weren’t necessary. Only frivolous things.

I spend most of it at Winners, which you can see in my previous Shopping Haul Post, Shopping Haul – Birthday Shop at Winners.

For this post, I gave it a go again, at this youtube thing, haha. If you don’t feel like watching the video, that is okay. I will still ramble on about the products below.

I was rather proud of myself, for making the video in under 10 minutes in length. Compared with the making of my first video, that is super progress.

Now on to the Products!

The Body Shop – Body Butter in Fuji Green Tea

I love the body butters from The Body Shop. Been using them for years, my favorites in the past have been the Grapefruit and the Mango. I got a Fuji Green Tea one from my Mother-in-law, and really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the bigger one, and one small one for my purse. When I was out with my Eva, she was complaining about her dry hands, and how she had just used the last of her hand cream at work. I use the little containers as hand cream in my purse, so I whipped mine out and gave it to her. She loves it too, and always remarks on how smooth it makes her hands. I was sort of missing my Fuji in my purse, so I bought myself a new one.

The Body Shop – Body Scrub in Coconut

I have to say, out of all the years I have been a patron of The Body Shop, I have never gotten any of their body scrubs. I decided to pick this up, as with all my swimming recently, I need a bit something more to my routine, for my poor skin to keep healthy. The allergy to chlorine really takes a toll on my already sensitive, dry, eczema pron skin. I am hoping that this will help get the dying cells off, and let me fresh skin shine through.

The Body Shop – Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner in Tea Tree Oil

I have used the same Brand of Toner for years, because it works, so why bother exploring. But the whole point of this blog is for me to learn about new things, so I decided to get this to try out. I am typically good with anything I have ever bought from The Body Shop, I only had an allergy to one product once, but it had apricot extract hidden in the ingredients list somewhere. Yay for trying new things, and having the courage to!

The Body Shop – Nourishing Night Cream with Vitamin E

I thought I’d add to my trial phase, and got this night cream. I have noticed that the addition of a night-time product does seem to help my skin. I know when I wake in the morning, my face is soft and smooth. Who doesn’t want that. If this works out well, it’ll probably come with me to the Dominican Republic.

The Body Shop – Lip Butter in Pink Grapefruit

My current lip butter is almost done, so I thought I’d get this as a backup. It has been in a container, beside my chair, waiting for this post to go up. Whenever I do my posts, I take it out and put some on, so I sorta already opened it, and have been using it. I’m so bad, haha. Love grapefruit anything, specially pink grapefruit. Smells so good!

The Body Shop – Born Lippy in Satsuma Shimmer

I have had the Satsuma body mist and the old traditional body oil perfume. I saw this, and was like Satsuma and Shimmery??? Sign me up. So it is mine now. Haven’t tried it yet, but it looks super pretty and shimmery.

The Body Shop – Eau de Toilette in Vanilla

I had a $10 off gift code from The Body Shop for my birthday, and knew I wanted to get something as a scent. I wasn’t totally sure if I wanted an oil or a more traditional spray scent. While I liked a few of the new oil scents, I wasn’t like, I must have that in my collection. I saw this up on the shelf, and I remembered that I currently didn’t have this one, and that I had run out of my bottle many moons ago. I have been wearing more casual scents for the every day, so I thought I’d repurchase this.

I remember when I use to wear it in highschool, all my boyfriends loved this one the most. Silly boys.

The Body Shop – Body Yogurt Samples

I had gotten an email that The Body Shop stating that they were launching a line of body yogurts, and the would be sending samples to all the instore locations. They gave me a coupon so I could collect any 2 samples of choice for my next visit. Well, there was some issues with the samples arriving when I went, so I was given 2 generous sample containers worth of my 2 picks. I chose the Mango and the Almond. I think there was 5 scents in total at my store.

I have been wanting something to either put on in the shower with damp skin, or to put on directly after the shower with still moist skin. The Body Shop Lady said that this would work really well for after I just get out.

Hope it helps, if it does, it will be added to my swim days routine.

So that is the haul!

I got the first 6 items, 3 for $6, so they were $12CAD in total, and the perfume was $15CAD, and the samples were free obviously. Then I got $10 off for my Birthday Discount! Such a great haul. It used up the last bit of money from my gift from my Mother-in-law, but it was worth it, so many things to play with now!

‘Til Tomorrow
