No Buy but if I could Buy – AliExpress

Hey Everyone,

So last friday I had a horrible eczema day, so my face is currently in not so great condition. I haven’t figured out what set it off, or if it was environmental(I do have the type of eczema that gets triggered by temperature change). I don’t really mind, ever since the start of my journey to refilling my vanity, I have taken better care of my face, and only had one small patch of eczema for nearly 3 months. Maybe it was just my time for a full out blow out. Even my neck got in on the action. Just sucked to be all gross for mother’s day weekend. I looked like a warty mushroom.

Due to that, the very many ideas I had planned for today, I could no execute, so I had to come up with some other post. A no face post.

So here we are!

I decided to bring you shopping with me, but not actual shopping, as I am in a No Buy right now. So this is what I’d get if I could be shopping.

AliExpress is a site I found out about, because I use to use this other site, Alibaba for buying art/craft supplies in bulk.

I have never had an issue with orders, and I have used Canadian Visa Gift Cards, the ones you can get at Walmart for example, to order online there. The only thing to keep in mind if you decide to order is that often times items are sold by many different companies. When you make one purchase with 10 things, they are all coming from different places, and wont arrive at the same time. Different companies use different shipment companies, so times are different too. I have had something arrive in 4 weeks, and another thing arrive in 3 months.

On to the Goodies!

My top ten items I would buy, if I could buy anything right now!

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 1

Cosmetic Grade Glitter – $2.20CAD +Free Shipping

I always get sucked into looking at glitter on this site. I really like the colouration to this pack. I’d put this on nails most likely.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 2

Cosmetic Grade Glitter – $0.46CAD +Free Shipping

I really like this colour, and I love the little canisters these always come in. It says it is eyeshadow glitter, but I wouldn’t put it near my eyes.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 3

Nail Art Glitter – $1.03CAD +Free Shipping

These are so cute. I would put them on nails for sure. I would probably let me kids glue them to things too, like art projects. Would be fun in a DIY Snowglobe.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 4

Nail Art Stamping Plate – $0.77CAD +Free Shipping

I’ve been meaning to get some stamping plates, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I like the maple leaves on this one.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 5

Nail Art Stamping Plate – $0.50CAD +Free Shipping

Another plate, I like the scrolls the most on this one. This would get you some good variety depending on how you stamped those 3 larger ones.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 6

Nail Art Stamping Plate Stamper – $0.77CAD +Free Shipping

I don’t have a clear stamper yet, but don’t want anything too fancy in case the daughter child or the cats yet at it.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 7

Makeup Brush Cleaner Mini – $0.63CAD +Free Shipping

I would love this for traveling. You can stick your two finders in it and hold it in your palm. They even have a neon yellow and a purple one.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 8

Nail Cuticle Oil Pen – $0.70CAD +Free Shipping

I like these pens, they are so handy. Come in different scents too. I always go boring and get aloe or citrus.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 9

Gel Adhesive Tabs – $1.26CAD +Free Shipping

By the time my other ones arrive, I will need more, so maybe these would be good to have as backups.

Brokedown Vanity - No Buy but Would Buy - AliExpress - 10

Little Black Bow Ring – $0.26CAD +Free Shipping

Just because. The review photos aren’t bad for this item, so I thought it would be something fun to add. When I am able to buy again, I might just get this for my daughter to play with.

So those are what I’d get, if I could. It would have cost me $8.58CAD. I was being a bit thrifty with my searches today, wanted to see if I could get a total under $10, and I did!

Some Tips to buying on AliExpress

  • for those of you in the US, some of the sellers have a us option, so you can get a lower shipping cost and a quicker delivery time
  • I always just click the free shipping button in search, and look that way
  • if you search with the “Free Shipping” clicked, be aware some sellers double post listings, one with a higher cost, to offset the cost of the free shipping. It’s sort of like a scam to me, so I don’t give my money to those sellers
  • if purchasing on the AliExpress app, watch your cart, prices seem to like to change a lot once you go to purchase
  • purchasing on the app gives you automatic discounts, but keep in mind the above, seems like it glitches sometimes when a deal is close to ending
  • packages under $15CAD normally don’t get dinged with Duty, so since these are all coming seperate, you should be fine, I have never had to pay duty on any of mine
  • on the pc website, you can change your currency and location at the top of the site
  • I find the pc website easier to navigate than the app, the app can take forever
  • multiple sellers sell the exact same item from the exact same manufacturer, so compare prices, I seen some crazy fluctuations in pricing
  • can’t find something? try typing it in oddly, like Fuzzy Sleeping Slippers would be Sleeping Slipper Fuzzy, the search results pop up totally different things

And that is that!

I am in no way affiliated with AliExpress, I just shop there. This was just a fun random post for me to do.
