As part of the #springintosummer2018 Instagram Photo Challenge, I had to make a Spring Mani. Now, I am still working on my collection of Press-ons, in hopes of getting my Gel Adhesive Tabs in the mail soon, so I did press-ons.
I did my actual nails sort of like this a few weeks past, before I started mucking around in all my flower beds. I really liked the colours, so I decided to do the mani for the challenge in them.
Products Used:
Wet n Wild – WildShine Clear Nail Protector
Sinful Colors – Nail Polish in Cinderella
TiVOLi – Nail Polish in Sprig
Sally Hansen – Big Kwik Top Coat
Billie – Flower Nail Art Stickers
It was my first time using a TiVOLi nail polish. All the others I have purchased in the past were sparkly, and they applied fine for my daughter. This one was sort of odd, it had a huge drying time, and if you didn’t let it sit for that time, then it would lift off with your next coat. Took me a good bit to get it on even and smooth, which isn’t a deal breaker just for press-ons, but would suck for actual nails. I do like the colour though.
The Sinful Colors is a really nice nail polish formula, all the polished we have tried so far have performed well. This one is rather sheer, so depending on what you are doing with it, you might want to put a pale, opaque base coat on first. I didn’t and had to do 3 coats to get it to where I would be satisfied.
The stickers were great, they stuck on really well. I did do a double top coat, just in case, to encapsulate them.
These press-ons are a bit different from the ones I usually use. These are some old Sally Hansen ones from 2006 that I still had kicking around. I had purchased them for halloween one year, and had them in my nail kit bag for like ever. I thought having more rounded tips might be a nice change from the sporty square ones I normally go for.
I might have to buy more tips soon, I am slowly running out, as my ring and pointers take the same size nails. That will be a different adventure, maybe in June, I will explore some online nail art options, and get some different full nail fake nails.

It is really pretty, and a total fluke that I found nail stickers that totally matched both shades.

It all came together perfectly, and it was all things bought separately with no plan in mind. I love when that happens.
