As per my No Buy, this is a prepurchased Haul from April. I bought this a week before my birthday.
I went to Shoppers to grab a few items for a project I wanted to do for the blog, mainly the Nyx Big Eyeshadow Pencil and the Rimmel Insta Fix & Matte Translucent powder. They didn’t do what I wanted them to, but sometimes that is how it works when trying things out with makeup. In no way were they bad products, it was just a failed experiment on my part.
I ended up using some PC Points and got myself this pumpkin mask, because pumpkins! Found some more Gosh products on clearance, so I picked out some stuff to play with.
I can’t remember why I bought the Wet n Wild gel lip pencil. It might have been because of a review or a blog post I read. That seems to be what is sparking in my brain the most.
I got the Essence Gel Topcoat to see if I could experiment with it any. I know a few people who have had success putting it on top of their normal polishes. The gel lasts longer than a regular topcoat, or so I was told. You just got to test it out on your normal polishes. So there will be experiments to be had soon.
That is it for today!
‘Til Tomorrow

Oh my goodness! That NYX pencil gave me serious makeup vibes to when it used to be my go to eyeshadow primer/base, up until I realized that I had no way to sharpen it! You said it didn’t work for you and now I’m very curious. What were your hopes and dreams for it?

Can’t find the video right now, but I was watching a Colour Creep Video tutorial, and she had used the NYX Pencil as a face stick to help make a halloween grease paint not so greasy. It basically was a poor mans way of making it able to be set easily with powder, where as grease paint on it’s own wont set at all, and powder on top just makes it cake. She managed to get it fully white, and I used very similar products(I had all but one that she had used) and it still didn’t work the way I had wanted.
It was a good experiment, didn’t turn out how I wanted, but at least I know now, and didn’t spend a fortune.
I just can’t find FX makeup where I currently live, and was trying to find a work around, that didn’t require ordering online.
As for sharpening, my kids had this sharpener by crayola that has a small hole and a big hole. I ended up just going out and getting myself a new one of those, and using it. The great thing about it is it has a trap tray, so your shavings don’t go all over. Really easy to clean too, since the sharpener parts sort of hang inside the tray, so you can get off the gunk so much easier when you detach the 2 parts.
