A while ago I went to Sally’s Beauty Supply, and picked up some items to play with. I hadn’t tried out my new China Glaze Nail Lacquers yet, so I thought it was something we could experience together.
Left to Right – 544 Liquid Leather, 934 Swing Baby, 1403 Point me to the Party
Liquid Leather is a single coat, fully opaque polish, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I am super happy with this, and I hope to get some of the brights next, so see if they perform the same.
Swing Baby is a single coat, fully opaque polish too. I didn’t have any issues with brush runs, as chrome polishes tend to streak. This is packed with micro glitter, so a single layer performs really well, you don’t get patchy, less covered spots. I am happy with this one too.
Point me to the Party was just a fun one I picked up because I knew my daughter would like it. I am really into this glitter shape right now, and I like that this had various colours and sizes. This was 2 coats, just so I could really show it off. It does look great with one, and I have been experimenting with it on top of other polish colours, which you can see below. Due to the edges on the glitter, you will want a really good topcoat on top, or you will have these start to flake off, and take your under layer of polish off with it.
I am really happy with this purchase, and I would recommend these and give them as gifts. When I originally went to the store, which you can read about in my post; Shopping Haul – Sally’s Beauty Supply, they had a “Buy 2 get one Free” sale, which they said was common. Not a bad way to build up a collection.
Some of my swatching and experimenting I did the last week. You can see I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with Point me to the Party, I like both the purple and the white, so I am not sure which I am going to do yet. Purchased this swatch wheel at Sally’s too, you get 10 in the pack.
That nude/pinkish shade is from Lancome, called Snob, it’s so pretty.
I changed how I store my completed Press-ons now. Instead of little containers, I have them on this thick board. I was worried that with the warm months coming, the polish might heat up and stick, so I wanted them to not be touching each other. I grabbed some double-sided scrapbooking adhesive tabs to mount the nails. You get like 200 for $1.25CAD at Dollar Tree. I double up the thumb one, as the nails are so big, they don’t stick to just the height of one.
Sally’s doesn’t have an official canadian site, just a universal one with USD pricing. If you want to check out Sally’s, you can view the whole Catalog at the Main Site HERE.
