Shopping Haul – Dollar Haven and Discount

Brokedown Vanity - SH - Dollar Haven1

Had to pick up a few things, I was in town doing banking, so me and my daughter popped in for a quick look. If you live in southwestern ontario, chances are you have a Dollar Haven somewhere near you. It is owned by 3 brothers, and they only have them between sarnia and toronto as far as I know.

I was just thinking that it was so hard to find Jordana and L.A. Colors, which are often talked about in youtubers videos as a stable makeup for those on a budget. I hadn’t ever seen them before, then I found L.A. Colors at Dollar Tree, and now here at Dollar Haven.

I picked most of this up just for the girl child to play with while I am busy doing my blogging stuff. She likes to watch me swatch things, and then wants to try too. I am not one to just let her play with makeup. She gets to do it maybe 2 times a month(if that), and more during halloween. She has lip balm and nail polish, so that is normally what she plays with when she wants to be extra.

What I got in this haul:

SanTian – LookSee Lashes in N7
Jordana – Lip Liner in 07 Pink Nude
L.A Colors – Glossy Lips Sheer Lipgloss in Berry Breeze
L.A Colors – Moisturizing Lipgloss in Pink Pearl
L.A. Colors – Brilliant Shine Glitter Gloss in Crystal
L.A. Colors – Brilliant Shine Glitter Gloss in Baby Blue
L.A. Colors – Brilliant Shine Glitter Gloss in Fuchsia

I quickly swatched a few of these. The glitter glosses seem to have a different formula each, with the fuchsia being the most tacky. I had to use my husband’s mechanic grease remover soap to get it off. Didn’t react to it, so that is good. The moisturizing gloss was super nice swatched, will have to see what it is like on the lips. The sheer gloss was very lightly tinted, once you got it on, and the brush is a bit weird. Would be good for quickly running around, if you didn’t want to do much of anything, makeup wise.

The lashes I will probably trim a bit, they look to stilted at the tips. I think they can work for an unnatural look, maybe something more gothy.

That’s it for now.

‘Til Tomorrow,

Helen
