Review – Jurlique – Body Balm

Brokedown Vanity - Review - Jurlique

Such a cute tin!

A few years back I attended an event with a friend, and as part of our entrance goodie bag, we got various hypoallergenic and cruelty free health & beauty products.

One of the items was the Love Balm from Jurlique.

When I saw the canister and read the ingredients label, I was intrigued that a lip balm could also be used as a body balm, so to speak. It was free, so I thought I’d try it out. With a good dozen lip balms already stuffed in various purses and drawers around the house, I wasn’t really in the need for another lip balm, so I decided to try it on my dry, worn out areas. The winning spot ended up being my knuckles of all things.

Sometimes, especially in winter, my knuckles make me look more like a back street scraper, than a stay at home mom. I seem to have very think skin there, and it abrades really quickly, even from just lifting boxes. So the knuckles get this balm.

While there is no actual medical properties for healing, it does seem to help with the dryness. The formula is sort of the consistency of a hair wax, or even a mustache wax, more hard than you would expect, but it still is easy to apply, even for your lips. When I was initially using it as a lip balm, I didn’t have to reapply it often.

I have never had a reaction to it, and I normally am not so great with things with Rose extracts.

If you want to try a new cruelty free, natural product, I would suggest looking into Jurlique. They are based out of Australia, and the co-creators are actually scientists. The whole story of the company is rather interesting, so you should go check it out.

Buy your Love Balm at Jurlique.

‘Til Tomorrow,

Helen

  1. I recently bought something called Rose & Co. Rose Petal Salve. It is a product in the same lines, multi purpose balm which can be used on lips, on dry patches of skin, cuticles etc.
I bought it for the cute lill tin initially😊, but it turned out to be worth the money.
